Pediatric patients may be accepted on a case-by-case basis, depending on the patient’s age, wound type, and clinical needs. A parent or legal guardian must participate in the patient’s care.

• Review of your medical history

• Comprehensive wound evaluation

• Wound measurements and photographs (with your consent)

• Discussion of treatment options

• Personalized treatment plan

• Education on caring for your wound at home

Yes. When medically appropriate, debridement may be performed to remove unhealthy tissue and promote healing. The type of debridement recommended depends on your wound and overall health.

Please bring:

• Photo identification

• Medication list

• Recent medical records related to your wound (if available)

• A list of allergies

• Current wound care supplies, if applicable

• Someone to assist you to stand or transfer to exam table if unable to do so independently or with provider alone

WoundWise Healing Center does not dispense take home wound care supplies. When supplies are needed, patients may receive recommendations or orders for supplies through a durable medical equipment supplier or local pharmacy.

Yes. When medically appropriate, prescriptions such as antibiotics or topical wound care medications may be provided as part of your treatment plan.

Appointment availability varies based on urgency and scheduling. Every effort is made to see patients with urgent wound concerns as soon as possible. Please contact the office to discuss current availability.

WoundWise Healing Center is a direct-pay practice.

Payment is due at the time of service. Upon request, we can provide a detailed receipt (superbill) that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage and reimbursement depend on your individual insurance plan.

Appointment times vary depending on your needs. Initial visits generally take longer than follow-up visits to allow time for a comprehensive evaluation and treatment plan.

Telehealth follow-up visits may be available for selected patients when medically appropriate. An in-person visit is required for procedures such as debridement and other treatments that require direct wound assessment.

WoundWise Healing Center does not currently provide home visits.

At this time, routine nursing facility visits are not offered. As WoundWise Healing Center grows, this service may become available in the future.
